Main Uses and misuses of Listening to music online

Listening to music online will have both advantages and disadvantages too...

The distribution of music on the Internet has become extremely simple, and with the advances in audio formats together with increasing Internet speed, it is now possible to download not only songs but entire albums. However the combination of music and the Internet has caused a great controversy. Simplistically, the issue of Internet music distribution concerns three groups of people… the Internet users who download music, the organizations and individuals who distribute music through Internet sites, and lastly the artists and their record companies, record manufactures and music stores.

As the Internet users generally argue, Internet music distribution has numerous advantages. Even novice Internet users can now access the virtually any songs ever written in a matter of seconds. This can all be done from the personal computer and is far more practical for people than the previous means. The Internet features virtually every types of music that exists and every artist providing the means for people to broaden their musical horizons. It provides people who live in remote places a change to actually purchase music from a virtual music community and also the opportunity for all people to listen to a song before the decision to purchase it. The Internet is especially good news for the less famous artists who most likely can afford any other means to expose their music to the public.

On the other hand though, as the famous artists and their loyal defenders are arguing, this form of music distribution has plenty of disadvantages. For starters it has been estimated that over eighty percent of all music downloaded is done so illegally. Unfortunately as it seems, illegal downloading of songs from the Internet has turned into a fairly casual and frequent type of crime, and a recent poll shows that most young people believe lying and speeding to be worse offences. One of the reasons for this is that it has never really been punished, and it has become difficult for ordinary people to tell the difference between right and wrong regarding this issue. However it all comes down to copyright law, as the body of exclusive rights protecting artist’s work from being copied without their authorization. The real issue is that they are not receiving their royalties, because obviously when you download a song for free neither the artists or the record companies receive a cent.

Perhaps it all happened so fast it has taken this long to react, but recently artist have been lashing out in attempts to sue music distributing and file-swapping Internet sites, in one case demanding a hundred thousand for each song illegally copied. On one hand we have the argument that it is wrong to base and industry on theft like this, but on the other it is the people performing the illegal acts that should be punished and not the technology. The publicity and media attention from these court cases seems to be making the artist less popular, but is actually beneficial to the Internet sites who subscribe to the point of view that even bad publicity is good publicity… and their success is proof of that.

If I were asked to give an opinion, I would say that in a perfect world all music should be free. I might have been sympathetic toward the artists, but I can recognise that their concerns are based largely on their own greed. The reality of this situation is that Internet music is making music in general more popular, and figures have proven that there has been no decline in music sales at all. It is obvious to me that not every song downloaded for free would otherwise have been bought, and if anything this is a form of free publicity, which does not affect the already excessive income of famous artists at all. Personally I see this issue similar to the issue of the Internet itself. Was it wrong for us to create the means for people to act so illegally and not get caught, or do the benefits of the Internet outweigh the disadvantages? It doesn’t really matter now because it’s already too late to turn back. Our responsibility now is to deal with the situation and force the law to actually catch up and adapt to illegal music distribution over the Internet.
What to do next is up to you.. Take a right decision ...

Importance of Web Directory Submission

Importance of WEB DIRECTORIES,WEB DIRECTORY LISTINGS

A web directory is basically a series of webpages, categorizing links to other webpages. You might associate a web directory to your local yellow pages. There are many web directories on the internet, the most well known ones being provided by Google, Yahoo, and Lycos.

Submission to online directories still works. Contrary to the widespread rant that directories are dead, they are not. Good directories can still help you rank in Google; you just have to watch for signs of quality. You can still make a website rank for relatively competitive three-keyword-long terms with directory submissions.
One of the best signs of quality is whether a directory is found in search results. If it is, especially on Google, take it as a good sign. It's usually worth the money to buy a link from that directory.
  1. Don't submit to too many directories too fast. Space it out over several months.
  2. Avoid free directories.

Traffic & Website Promotion

Another benefit of the directory submission is the promotion of your website. In the web directories, the websites are arranged categorically and it is very easier for the users to reach a website in a directory, unlike the search engines in which the websites are not arranged categorically.

There are different types of the web directories based on the inclusion.
• Free Submissions
In the free inclusion, there are no charges for review and inclusion.
• Paid Submissions
In the paid submissions, the site owners have to pay a fee for review and inclusion.
Reciprocal Link
In the Reciprocal inclusions, a link back to the web directory is required in order to get listed in web directory.
• No Follow
In this type of inclusion there is a rel=”nofollow” attribute associated with the link. Search engines do not follow the “nofollow” links.
• Featured Links
In the featured inclusions, the link is given a premium position in the directory normally at the top of the page.

How Web Directories Can Help You

There are so many factors that search engines use to rank a website. The process of search engine optimization is mainly divided into the following two types.

On-Page Optimization

It includes using the unique Title, Meta tags, H1 heading, Image ALT tag, inner linking and content optimization.

Off-Page Optimization

The off-page optimization mainly includes getting the back links from high PR and relevant websites and directory submission is one of the most important ways to get back links to your websites.

With little research on internet you can find a lot of free web directories. The regular and consistent inclusion of your website in the web directories results in improving the PR and ranking of your website in the search engines. Before submitting your website in the web directories, you need to carefully follow the guidelines of the web directories. If you do not follow the guidelines then your website will be banned or permanently removed from the web directories.

One important thing that you must know is that you not only need to submit the home page of your website but also inner pages of your website in the web directories. The back links from the web directories also help your web pages get out of the supplemental index of Google. Supplemental index is just like a recycle bin and Google put the orphan pages in the supplemental index.

The pages in the Google’s supplemental index do not generate any traffic. The directory submission is the best way to get your pages out of it.The search engine spiders send out the spiders to the links in the directory pages. This will make the search engine spiders to visit your website and add your website’s pages in the search engines.

What About Directory Submission Software?

There are many versions of automated directory submission software out there. Using directory submission software can make the submission process faster, but there are some disadvantages in doing this. For example, some web directories can track if submission software was used when someone submits to their directory and they will not accept the submission because they have in their terms not to use automated software like that. Also, doing submissions that quickly will not appear as natural to search engines when they see hundreds of new links at once. If you feel like you really want to speed up the process then we recommend paying a directory submission service to help you. They will do directory submissions by hand to as many directories as you want.

What steps did you take before opening your directory?
  1. When I started new directories I:
  2. Created unique category structures
  3. Got a custom design
  4. Added unique features
  5. Added any mods needed
  6. Put aside money for promotion
Types and Best Directories

Business directory which charges a fee for review and operates as a Pay per click search engine.

SEO friendly web directory:Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion

General high quality directories like DMOZ and Yahoo Directory still pass value to websites. Yahoo costs $299, but it's still a good buy.
  1. DMOZ
  2. Yahoo Directory
  3. Librarians Internet Index
  4. Business.com
  5. GoGuides
  6. JoeAnt
  7. Skaffe

DMOZ Directory

The Open Directory project is a free directory run by volunteers and enthusiasts. No editor is obliged to submit or review your website. DMOZ is one of the highest quality directories on the web, so make sure you build up your site a little before submitting, because it will go easier for you if you do.
Though DMOZ is free, there are some editors who accept "bribes" and may list a site for a fee. The danger is that the site may be removed by other, more authoritative members, so several hundred bucks can go to waste. If you intend to do this, watch out for quality flags.

The Yahoo Directory costs $299 per year. You don't need to submit to it to show up in Yahoo search results, but your ranking will go up on Yahoo if you do. Google also trusts the Yahoo Directory.
Some websites may get accepted for free, but those have to be non-commercial.
Yahoo sorts its listings by link popularity instead of alphabetically. If a category has 200 sites, then the ones with the most links will show up at the top. If you have few links, it will take some time before your site shows up at the top.
Yahoo Directory editors have a reputation for being picky as to whom they submit, but with recent Yahoo financial troubles they may loosen up and accept anyone who pays. Also keep in mind that Yahoo may still end up being purchased by Microsoft, despite all the drama over the past year and more, so a link from the Yahoo Directory is worth the price.

Excellent Features of Newest MMO online game: AION.

Excellent Graphics work, Never experienced before

The graphics of the game are without a doubt what makes it the most visual appealing mmo out there. There has never been such a high standard of detail in mmos shown like this and which probably makes it the most graphically demanding mmo in history. The graphics are excellent and i never experienced such type of graphics in my life. In look and graphics point of view AION is the best mmo among all.I remember people use to say things like "mmos aren't graphically demanding" or "pssh i could play that on my 6 year old computer", well not anymore !!

Aion is an MMO that tries to offer something for everyone and succeeds at it, albeit in varying degrees and at different stages. On the surface, you'll find a visually stunning world to adventure in and explore, and this will initially draw the casual PvE gamer. Underneath the pretty wrapping is a familiar layer of elements that MMO gamers have come to expect - questing, skills, crafting, economy, socialization tools - in a highly polished state. At its core both literally and figuratively, is a faction PvP battleground called the Abyss, where gameplay involves Aion's most distinctive feature, the players' ability to fight while flying around on wings. Yet players can only enter the Abyss after they reach level 25 and prior to that, there is hardly any PvP except for suicidal forays into enemy territory. Endgame on the other hand, is focused on PvP, which could be a disappointment for those who don't enjoy it unless more content is introduced by the time they get there. As it is, even before they reach level 20, players may encounter gaps that need to be breached by doing repeatable quests, which indicates a lack of appropriate level content.

The most interesting thing about flying is battling in the air. Thats right, player vs player combat.... in the air !! Sure you can fly around and in the end it turns into a hack and slash cluster. But nevertheless flying is pretty awesome and fun to use for exploring the aion world.

I narrowed down my choices to assassin and a gladiator but im was wondering which one has better dps and surivalbility?? who has less down time and is more sought .For this my answer is: Assassin is the best among the all aion classes. The interface and gameplay is very identical to WOW. Actually a lot of things about aion are very "wow-like" . But the one thing that stands out is stigmas. Stigma stones allow the player to use abilities from another class and is equipped in a "stigma panel." I am not sure the max stigma stones you can hold in your panel, but I currently can hold two. As your levels progress, you will gain more stigma slots.

Aion also likes to reward people who play or grind the game with something called Divine Power. The more you kill the more Divine Power you get (although i don't see what is so divine about killing stuff). Divine Power is required to use "super-skills" and disappears once you log off.

If you want to know more details and features regarding AION mmo plz visit aion forum.
